The NHS operate a zero tolerance policy with regard to violence and abuse and the practice has the right to remove violent patients from the list with immediate effect in order to safeguard practice staff, patients and other persons.
Violence in this context includes actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse which leads to fear for a person’s safety.
Sadly, there are an increasing number of instances where patients have displayed rude, demanding and aggressive behaviour towards our staff. Patients who continue to do so will be asked to register with another GP Practice.
We ask that patients, and their families, show utmost respect to staff, both in person and on the phone. They only wish to help you.
