September 2024 Newsletter

Our website will be updated on Tuesday 1st October, with forms temporarily not working during this change. This will be around lunchtime, with forms likely to be affected between 1pm and 2.30pm. The whole website will have a new look and improved functionality.

The updated website will use the same forms as we currently use.

Please remember that for medico-legal reasons, we can only deal with online requests when you are in the local vicinity. If anyone requires medical advice or assistance while further afield, or abroad, they should seek medical help within the local area.

We are also now aware that our clinical software is likely to change in late January. Further details regarding this project rollout, and specifically how we will manage that changeover will be shared nearer the time.

It is worth noting that with the upcoming change in clinical system, patients’ prescriptions will only be sent to those pharmacies who collect from the surgery. Alternatively you can opt to collect scripts in person from the surgery. We will be unable to post prescriptions to other pharmacies after the new software is installed. Specialist companies who deliver larger items to patients are unaffected.

Pharmacies which collect from the surgery include:

Boots (Clarkston), Boots (Newton Mearns), Broom (Newton Mearns), Busby, Carmunnock, Dears (Ayr Road), Eaglesham, Eastwoodmains, Howard (Seres Road), Mackies (Giffnock), Morrisons (Stewartfield), Muirend, Penney (Cathcart), Rowlands (Newton Mearns), Scots (Netherlee), Superdrug (Newton Mearns), Well (Clarkston).

There are a number of steps we are having to take internally to be ready for and facilitate this change, and so we would appreciate your patience when dealing with staff over the coming months.

Thank you.

Regards
