Asthma action plans

It is a good idea to run through an asthma action plan with the practice nurse/pharmacist/GP so that you can stay on top of your asthma and know how to manage things in an emergency.

‘MART’ and ‘AIR’ are particular treatment regimens that the clinician will discuss with you if appropriate.

Power cuts – priority repair for patients relying on powered medical equipment

If you have a medical condition such as COPD or asthma and rely on electrical medical equipment e.g. nebuliser/CPAP machine, you should register for priority repair status. In the event of a power cut, the energy provider will prioritise your power repair / provide an alternative emergency power source.
